In all honesty, I haven’t read a novel this good in a really long time. Not only does the story start immediately, forcing me into a whirlwind of problems, but I learned something new in every sentence. Literally, every sentence. Of course, that has a lot to do with the fact that I previously knew nothing about chemical compounds or, for example, how to create water from scratch. I, also, do not enjoy math. But, luckily for me, my other half has a degree in Biology and Chemistry and we had small sessions of the basics. I LOVE the types of books that TEACH! Okay, back to The Martian. It was amazing and I couldn’t stop telling people around me about it as I was reading. I also am trying to figure out how Andy Weir was able to write this!
