What a great book for me to have stumbled upon and finished on the first day of my birthday month.

Big Magic didn’t necessarily teach me anything new, but it did provide a lot of confirmations. It felt like a dialogue, as if Elizabeth Gilbert and I were deliberately debating about certain perspectives. I suppose that is what makes for an interesting read: one that you can agree and disagree with, but still come out much evolved. Although the context of Big Magic most definitely touched me, I took the moments of disagreement just as personal. There were times in which I felt that she was no longer speaking to the creatives in my community — people who have certain circumstances that keep them from doing what they love. This is something I will write further on later… But, for now, allow me to conclude with this thought: THIS BOOK IS GOOD!
