Aravind Adiga takes us, literally, on a journey through the life of a young Indian man, Balram, that lives inside the Darkness of his country. We shadow him through his moments as a young boy yearning to learn and his slow awakening into the corrupt adults within his community. With much eagerness to enter the Light, he becomes a driver for a wealthy family that has earned their riches through political bribery. It is during this relationship that The White Tiger takes a dramatic turn — we watch as Balram wakes up in rage and forces himself to live in the Light, by any means necessary. Even if that means killing his master.

I enjoyed it!
