piedraBy the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept is a fascinating, passionate and tender story about having been broken, rebuilt and loved. Pilar reconnects with a childhood friend and through him, she begins to rebuild her relationship with God while learning new things about herself. I think the hardest part about reading this novel is being able to understand exactly how she felt. Her suffering, her search and, finally, her discovery.
